In a Saints Row IV walkthrough video President Jim Boone†takes fans through the entire opening mission of the game, which I had previously assumed was the mission DualShockers played at E3 this year. Instead, the opening mission is actually sort of an “origin story†that explains how your main character became president, and leads the Saints on a mission to stop a plot by their old enemy, Cyrus Temple.

From the usual comic dialogue to a fond and surprisingly heartfelt ending–made all the more touching with a hilarious choice of soundtrack music–this mission seems to be exactly what you’d expect from a Saints Row game, although it doesn’t show off the powers players will get shortly afterwards in the game.

While this video shows you how you will become president, you can choose how he will look right now with the Inauguration Station, and then load him up when Saints Row IV releases on August 20th in North America and August 23rd in Europe to PS3, PC and Xbox 360.
