  1. So this has been a little side project i've been working on in my free time. Decided to design my own intro artwork and logo for the game. I had mainly made this for craig but if any community members want to use these for video intros or whatever feel more than free to do so. Credit is not required but appreciated.     Creative Mode Bugs In 1.7

    So i Skimmed through previous bug reports and didn't seem to come across these, So do excuse me if these have been mentioned before. Anyways these two bugs have been crippling for me and others who build on creative, And base our builds off a specific texture pack. When you set your texture pack to anything other than original in the initial customization menu for your world, Other players will not spawn in the map with the texture pack you selected. It will always be "Original" or the texture pack they had previously selected before joining the world. It seems to be a problem for everyone i have talked to who uses a creative map. This is literally causing us to inform every individual person who joins our worlds to change to the proper texture pack. The second bug i'd like to make mention of would be something that largely varies in creative maps, Depending on the dimensions they choose most likely. My map dimesnions are 736x736x242 Flat seed 900795257 ground level 226 from depth 240-223 it wall cause any visitor too immediately have the loading screen pop-up regardless if that area is loaded or not. The user can escape it eventually but it will happen every-time they enter that depth zone. This bug does not affect the host. The bug is very similar to the one that causes maps not to show up for visitors at certain depth. Anyways, Really hope to see these fixed in the next patch Worlds always open if you need to come check it out in person.

    Yes, I am planning on doing an HD texture pack. Will be themed around the feudal japan era. :] Though i'm still waiting for a dev to give us the proper editing template and details.

    FINAL Texture Pack Submissions (ONLY)

    Sympodial Texture Pack Created By: LLAMAvsCOW (Gamertag for use in credit) Updated Last: 12/24/2011 About: So here is my texture pack "Sympodial", I really aimed to go for a look that would give the game a more adventurous feel to it. Spent hours making sure all the textures would blend nicely with each other, allowing peoples worlds to look as best as possible with any block they choose to build with. All the rock layers are based off the colors of the real rocks. Each type of rock will tile nicely with the same type, Allowing caves to look as seamless as possible. The color pallet section in the texture pack are all colors that were involved in one way or another in making everything, So I hope they will fit in nicely for whatever you choose to do with them. You can read the random facts below to learn more. Info: -Took around 25-30 hours total. -Everything was built from scratch. -All items that are gutted should tile without any seems. -The logo for the texture pack was created using the textures featured Direct Link here Feel free to message me with any corrections, suggestions, or help. :] I check my mail everyday. Updates/To do: 12/24/2011: Added Fire, Light Box, Locked Door, etc.. Still need to finalize a few things. Most likely gonna make a few changes to the light box tmmr also. Merry xmas :]

    Testing Out Your Texture Pack

    Just wanted to put out there if you want to test out your texture pack just make one for minecraft. You could be lazy and copy your textures to someone else's Minecraft pack to test them out, Just don't publish it to anything if you do that. :] Things to bare in mind when doing this: -Be sure to keep in mind textures that are gutted, A work around to that would be to crop the gutted border and stretch the remaining pixels to 16x16. It's also good to test them out while still having the gutted border, As it can be seen occasionally from a distance or sharp angles in game (Total Miner). -Total miner uses more of a yellow lighting, While Minecraft uses more of a white lighting. Witch means that in total miner the yellows will pop alot more. And may slightly change the color tone of some textures. hopfrog16 said that grass (and I think flowers as well) look a lot lighter in game than you will expect, so it isn't a bad idea to make them a little darker than you feel might be necessary. -The doors need to be flipped so the hinges are facing the left, This is not necessary. But if you want your door to open normally in Minecraft I'd suggest doing it.
