Actually the moat of lava isn't too bad an idea, I may set one up. The reason i have so many teleporters also is because I want to be able to access key areas around my map, but Ill see what I can do, thanks so much for the help guys! Have fun, and I can't wait to see what you guys have once multi-player comes out!

So I built a house in the sky, and took away any way of getting to my house aside from finding the teleporter at a specific depth in the "marked" mine entrance, and there are.. a "few" diffrent obsidians just laying about in the mines at random depths.. and by a few, I mean around 20-30? now that's good as protection, but its easy to get by, just take one block with you every time you teleport and put it over the obsidian if you don't get there, escape and repeat. I was wondering if anyone had an idea for some kind of trap, that would prevent people from just teleporting till they get there? or some way I might be able to secure a faster transport to my floating castle? If i really wana get there i usually just get a ton of blocks and build a line to it right now, but thats not as fun in my opinion :P plus, people playing my map can just ladder my tower to get to my castle. The only idea I could come up with is to use the locked chests in 2.0 as a door and encase my castle's teleporter. Thanks for the help, and have fun building!

I just mine a 3x3 area, then use the bricks i picked up for a roof... but if you wanted a more realistic look, wood is the way to go.

Just saying, is it sad that I come to this site for two things. 1. Is ver 2.0 out yet? 2. whats up in the manbearpig thread today :P
